Description

The Manitou 180 ATJ is a diesel-powered mobile elevating work platform from Manitou in the boom lift category, more specifically an articulating boom lift with a hinged arm and telescopic boom.

The combined articulating and telescopic construction provides great flexibility to reach around obstacles, over edges and into areas that are difficult to access, and it is the additional outreach from the telescopic boom that allows the 180 ATJ to extend significantly further than, for example, the 160 ATJ.

The 180 ATJ is typically used where the operator needs to reach places that are difficult to access from the ground. This includes maintenance and cleaning of facades, work on roofs and cornices, installation and inspection of technical installations, tree care and pruning, and other outdoor tasks where the machine needs to move between working positions.

Working height is 18.18 metres and outreach is 10.51 metres. The basket holds 230 kg and 2 persons, the turret rotates 350 degrees, and the basket swivels 90 degrees to each side for precise fine positioning. Four-wheel drive, four-wheel steering and foam-filled tyres make the machine robust for outdoor use on uneven or soft ground.

The 180 ATJ is available in two variants. The standard model is suited to most outdoor tasks. The 180 ATJ CR is equipped with continuous turret rotation, providing unlimited swing radius without cables and hoses restricting movement. It is the choice where the machine cannot be moved between working operations and the operator needs full freedom to rotate the turret in the same direction multiple times in succession.

If you need emission-free operation, for example in combination with indoor use, the 180 ATJ e is available with a 100% electric motor and the same working height and outreach.

Operating a mobile elevating work platform of this type requires a valid certificate, which can be obtained through a mobile elevating work platform course with us.
