Description
The Manitou 200 ATJ ST5 is a diesel-powered mobile elevating work platform from Manitou with a hinged arm and telescopic boom. It is the largest step up in Manitou's ATJ range of mobile elevating work platforms and provides significantly greater working height and outreach than the 180 ATJ.
Working height is 20.37 metres and outreach is 11.99 metres. The basket holds 230 kg and 2 persons, the turret rotates 355 degrees, and the basket swivels 90 degrees to each side. A Yanmar Stage V engine at 25.5 kW powers the machine. The ST5 in the model name refers to Stage V, the current European emissions standard for non-road machinery, which sets strict limits on particulate matter and NOx emissions.
Four-wheel drive combined with solid tyres makes the machine robust for outdoor work on uneven or soft ground.
The 200 ATJ is well suited where 18 metres of working height is not enough, typically for maintenance and inspection of tall building structures, facades and industrial installations, work on masts, bridges and offshore installations, as well as tree care and power line work where the machine needs to reach far out horizontally without moving.
The 200 ATJ RC ST5 is identical, but with continuous turret rotation. This provides unlimited swing radius without cables and hoses restricting movement, and is the choice when the machine cannot be moved between working positions and the operator needs to rotate repeatedly in the same direction. Typically when working along long facades, bridges or barriers where the machine stays in place and the boom needs to work its way forward along the work area.
If you need emission-free operation, the 200 ATJ e is available with an electric motor and equivalent performance.
All models are equipped with Manitou's Secondary Protection System (SPS), a safety cable in front of the control panel that stops the machine immediately upon unintended contact.
Operating a mobile elevating work platform of this type requires a valid certificate, which can be obtained through a mobile elevating work platform course with us.
