Description
The 220 TJ ST5 is a diesel-powered mobile elevating work platform from Manitou, of the telescopic boom lift type.
It belongs to the TJ series among Manitou's mobile elevating work platforms. TJ stands for Telescopic Jib, a straight telescopic boom that extends directly outwards. This is what distinguishes it from the ATJ series, which has an articulating arm that can fold around obstacles. In return, the straight boom provides extremely long horizontal outreach.
The number 220 refers to the working height of approximately 22 metres, and ST5 means the engine meets the Stage V emissions standard.
With an outreach of 17.63 metres and 360-degree continuous rotation, the operator can work far from the machine's position without moving it. This makes the 220 TJ well suited for facade work and refurbishment, maintenance of masts and structures, construction work and large events where the machine must remain stationary while the boom works its way around.
The standard model holds 2 persons and 230 kg. If you need greater basket capacity, the 220 TJ+ is available with capacity for 3 persons and 408 kg, with virtually identical working height and outreach.
If you need more working height, the 260 TJ+ ST5 is available with 25.89 metres and the 280 TJ ST5 with 27.73 metres.
Operating a mobile elevating work platform of this type requires a valid certificate, which can be obtained through a machine operator course with us.
