Description

The PC138US-11 is a compact crawler excavator from Komatsu built for work in confined spaces.

The model name describes the machine's key characteristics. PC stands for Power Crawler. 138 refers to the weight class of around 13 to 14 tonnes. US stands for Ultra Short, meaning the tail swing radius is near zero. This allows the machine to swing without extending far behind it, enabling safe and efficient operation close to buildings, fences and live traffic.

The PC138US-11 is well suited to trench digging, utility work, smaller excavation pits and foundation work in urban areas where a full-size machine would take up too much space. Its rounded profile allows it to work close to obstructions without increasing the risk of impact. The machine is equipped with Komatsu's CLSS hydraulic system and a 72.6 kW Stage V engine, and comes with KOMTRAX telematics and the Komatsu CARE maintenance programme.

You can find the full range of Komatsu excavators at Hesselberg. Operating the PC138US-11 requires a machine operator's licence, typically class M2. Hesselberg offers heavy equipment operator courses for certification and skills development.
