Description

The Komatsu PC16R is a compact mini excavator that combines high performance with ease of use, and suits a wide range of tasks in confined spaces. It is sturdy and very stable, giving the operator confidence at work. Compared with the Komatsu PC09, it is larger and heavier, with higher engine power, greater digging depth and larger bucket capacity, and suits more demanding jobs.

Komatsu PC16R specifications and weight:

The PC16R-3 has an engine power of 11.6 kW (15.6 hp), an operating weight of 1,570–1,920 kg, a digging depth of 2.41 m and a bucket capacity of 0.03–0.06 m³. Komatsu describes the PC16R-3 as a user-friendly machine with fast, precise movements. The hydraulic system is a CLSS (Closed Load Sensing System) complemented by hydraulic servo-controls, and delivers power, speed and precise control for all movements.

The operator’s environment is exceptionally quiet and offers outstanding comfort and visibility. The wide door and well-placed handholds make entry and exit easy.

The engine bonnets open wide for quick access to daily inspection points, and the cab tilts forward for access to the major hydraulic components during maintenance. Komatsu’s quick-coupler makes changing attachments easier and quicker, and a short tooth radius ensures excellent digging performance. It is available in both mechanical (semi-automatic) and hydraulic versions.

For more power and capacity, the PC17R represents a natural step up.
