Description
The Komatsu PC80MR-5 is a midi excavator designed for versatility, manoeuvrability and comfort, and for low operating costs. In the model name, 80 refers to the size class, while MR-5 indicates the series and generation.

The CLSS (Closed-centre Load Sensing System) hydraulic circuit gives power, speed and precise control of all movements, including simultaneous ones. The machine has electronic hydraulic controls like those on larger excavators, selectable working modes and a high-resolution 3.5-inch colour LCD monitor. Auto decelerator and idle shut down help keep operating costs down. The cab is spacious and quiet, with ergonomic PPC controls and efficient air conditioning and ventilation. The control lever also has a neutral detection system.

The radiator, aftercooler and oil cooler are made of aluminium and mounted in parallel, so they are quicker to clean. The machine also has dedicated piping for the Lehnhoff Powertilt and a single-acting hydraulic line for a quick coupler.
