Description

The H16–H20 (391 series) is the smallest internal combustion counterbalance forklift in the Linde range, covering lifting capacities from 1.6 tonnes (H16) to 2.0 tonnes (H20).

Compared to the H20–H35 (1202 series), a heavier counterbalance forklift designed for lifting capacities from 2.0 to 3.5 tonnes, the H16–H20 is more compact and better suited where space is limited or load weights are lower. The H20–H35 is the right choice where higher lifting capacity or heavier continuous operation is required.

The series is available with diesel, LPG and natural gas engines, and is suited for both indoor and outdoor operation. Compact external dimensions make it well suited to narrow warehouses, work alongside conveyor lines and shelf handling in tight aisles. With a wheelbase of 1,600 mm and an aisle width of under 3.9 metres for a standard Euro pallet, it offers good flexibility in existing warehouse buildings.

The drive system is a hydrostatic direct drive without gearbox, clutch or drum brakes. This significantly reduces maintenance requirements and provides smooth, precise travel in both directions. Linde Load Control allows the operator to manage all mast movements from the armrest with fingertip control, and the truck automatically adjusts engine speed to match load and lift speed. The first service interval is at 1,000 operating hours, with hydraulic oil replacement only required after 6,000 hours.

The operator compartment is spacious with good legroom, hydraulic seat suspension and an ergonomic control layout. The mast and axles are decoupled from the frame with rubber mounts, dampening vibration reaching the operator. Top-mounted tilt cylinders and slim mast profiles give the operator a clear view of the load and surroundings.

The truck can be equipped with options including a full cab, air conditioning, LED lighting systems and Linde Safety Pilot for further adaptation to different operating environments.

Operating a forklift requires a forklift operator licence class T4, which can be obtained through a forklift operator course with us.
