Description
The Komatsu PC170LC-11 is a crawler excavator from Komatsu built for contractors who need reliable capacity and efficiency across a wide range of construction tasks.
PC stands for Power Crawler. 170 refers to the weight class of around 18 to 21 tonnes depending on equipment configuration. The two-piece boom option provides extra reach and flexibility on jobsites where it is necessary to dig over obstacles or work in tight configurations. The machine is factory-prepared for a hydraulic quick coupler and delivered tiltrotator-ready.
Compared to the Komatsu PC138US, a compact short-tail crawler aimed at confined and urban jobsites, the PC170LC-11 offers higher engine output, greater digging force and more bucket capacity for heavier work. Compared to the Komatsu PC210LC-11, a heavier standard crawler in the 21-tonne class, the PC170LC-11 is a more fuel-efficient option when its somewhat lower capacity is sufficient for the task.
