Description
The PC240LC-11 is a powerful and versatile crawler excavator from Komatsu with an operating weight of 25,300 to 27,530 kg.
PC stands for Power Crawler. 240 refers to the weight class. LC means Long Carriage, providing a longer undercarriage for increased stability during lifting and work with larger buckets. The machine is powered by a 141 kW Stage V engine and has a maximum bucket capacity of 1.89 m³, giving good capacity for excavation, foundation work and larger trenching projects.
Compared to the PC210LC-11, the PC240LC-11 delivers greater lifting capacity and more power for demanding digging. At the same time it is more flexible and easier to transport than the PC290LC-11, placing it squarely in the middle of the Komatsu excavator range and making it a natural choice when the 21-tonne class is too small but a 29-tonne machine is more than the project requires.
The Komatsu HydrauMind closed-centre load-sensing hydraulic system delivers precise control and efficient power transfer. The KomVision 270° camera system supports safe operation, and KOMTRAX telematics provides remote fleet monitoring and machine health data.
Selecting the right machine size depends on project scope, ground conditions and capacity requirements. Hesselberg works closely with customers to ensure the right balance between performance, stability and economy. Operating the PC240LC-11 requires a machine operator's licence, typically class M2. Hesselberg offers heavy equipment operator courses for certification and skills development.
