Description
The PC290LC-11 is a crawler excavator from Komatsu with an operating weight of 28,950 to 30,950 kg, built for projects that require more power and capacity than the 24-tonne class delivers.
PC stands for Power Crawler. 290 refers to the weight class. LC means Long Carriage, providing stability for heavy lifting and deep digging. The machine is powered by a 159 kW Stage V engine with a maximum bucket capacity of 2.02 m³.
Compared to the PC240LC-11, the PC290LC-11 delivers greater lifting capacity, longer reach and higher breakout force, making it well suited to larger excavation pits, deeper trenches and more extensive foundation work. At the same time it remains a more flexible option than the PC360LC-11 when a 35-tonne machine is more than the project requires.
The HydrauMind closed-centre load-sensing hydraulic system delivers precise control and efficient power transfer. KOMTRAX telematics and the Komatsu CARE maintenance programme support efficient fleet management and low operating costs.
You can find the full range of Komatsu excavators at Hesselberg. Operating the PC290LC-11 requires a machine operator's licence, typically class M2. Hesselberg offers heavy equipment operator courses for certification and skills development.
