Description

The PW180-11 is a wheeled excavator from Komatsu with an operating weight of 17,600 to 20,600 kg, built for contractors who need more capacity and stability than the smaller models in the series.

PW stands for Power Wheeled. 180 refers to the model's position in the 18-tonne segment. With an operating weight approaching 20 tonnes depending on configuration, the PW180-11 represents a clear step up in capacity compared to the PW160-11 and PW168-11, while retaining all the advantages of a wheeled excavator for road travel between jobsites.

Powered by a 123 kW Stage V engine, the machine is built to handle larger water and sewage projects, foundation work, road construction and general material handling where stability and lifting performance matter. The engine and hydraulic system deliver both power and precision, allowing the machine to handle larger buckets and heavier attachments without losing control.

The HydrauMind closed-centre load-sensing hydraulic system adjusts output to match the load in real time, providing smooth control and efficient power transfer. The spacious cab is well insulated and equipped with effective heating and air conditioning for comfortable operation year round. KomVision provides all-round visibility on confined and busy jobsites, and KOMTRAX telematics combined with the Komatsu CARE maintenance programme keep operating costs and downtime low.

You can find the full range of Komatsu excavators at Hesselberg. Operating the PW180-11 requires a machine operator's licence, typically class M2. Hesselberg offers heavy equipment operator courses for certification and skills development.
