Description

The Linde Xi14–Xi20 R (1251 series) is an electric three-wheel forklift from Linde, covering lifting capacities from 1.4 tonnes (Xi14) to 2.0 tonnes (Xi20).

The R in the model name stands for Roadster and tells you the most important thing about this truck: it is built around maximum visibility.

The Xi14–Xi20 R is part of the Linde 1251 series and won Product of the Year 2026 in the Industrial Trucks category.

What sets the Roadster apart from the other models in the Xi series is the absence of the A-pillar. The overhead guard is attached directly to the top of the mast, making the A-pillar unnecessary and opening up the entire front section. The operator has an unobstructed view of the load, forks and surroundings at all times. This is particularly valuable when driving in and out of trucks and containers, in narrow racking aisles with heavy pedestrian traffic, and when palletising precisely into high shelving.

The Xi10–Xi20 (1251 series) is the sibling model without the Roadster design and works well as an all-rounder, while the Xi14–Xi20 R is the choice for those who prioritise visibility and safety above all else.

The drivetrain is identical to the rest of the Xi series: 90-volt technology with synchronous reluctance motors and an integrated Li-ION battery without a battery tray. This delivers lift speeds up to 20 percent above the industry average, a top speed of 20 km/h and full performance throughout the entire shift. The integrated battery also provides more legroom and a lower step-in height than competing models.

Operating a forklift requires a forklift operator licence class T4, which can be obtained through a forklift operator course with us.
